For ground-coupled heat pumps and their source systems, both the geothermal load and the resulting electrical load are significant. Concerning these loads, there are still open questions that need to be clarified for the further development and improvement of the model library. In addition, it is important to examine what influence changed load profiles have on the geothermal source systems in the future, in order to adapt the design models. Therefore, the following effects are analysed and the design models optimised accordingly:
- Long-term behaviour of borehole heat exchangers
- Cycle behaviour and peak load duration
- Bi- and multivalent as well as modulating operation modes
